Marni for H&M - Brocade pant

After the brocade shirt, now I'm having my brocade pant. I have to admit I am in love with this print! It's so unique and even though bold printed pants are huge in this season, I never see any prints that's close to this. Like I said in previous a post, this print reminds me of exotic sarong which was something I was able to have access everyday. What makes me so in love with it is this new modern touch. Gorgeous print, great pant. This brocade pant has the same cutting with the peacock printed pant. They are both high-waist but different material. The material of this pants are more stiff and I found it look great with flowy tops. I'm doing a mix and match in this outfit. I don't want to make myself too masculine but I love a touch of edgy or boyish in my outfit. Therefore the best way to do that is to mix boyish items like blazer and tie with girlies pieces like sheer top and printed pant.

6 ways of wearing the Jason Wu Flare dress

Have you seem this Jason Wu flare dress? Do you own one? It's from the Jason Wu for target collection and it comes in black or white. This is a very elegant and lovely dress. The good fabric quality, classy design and cutting, gorgeous flare make it one of the most wanted pieces from the collection. However, most people who own the dress share same questions: When and where to wear the dress? It's too formal and how to dress it down?
I understand no one want to wear a flare dress and walk around like they are going to a formal dinner or event when they are really just going to a casual lunch or whatever it is. One thing most people don't realize that just because something's fancy or look fancy doesn't make it formal. Also, something's formal doesn't mean it can't be worn casual too. I came up with 6 ways to wear this flare dress and hey girls, feel free to use the ideas.

Peacock print, the mad bold print

I understand that pushing fashion to the limit is not for everyone, but it is definitely for me. In fact, I have my heart for bold graphics and I embrace bright colors. This season mad prints guarantee you will get a lot of attention. With everything else going simple, these mad prints can really stand out and bring the whole look to the next level. It's also most flattering with the lose and relaxed silhouette. Now where did I get these gorgeous peacock prints pants..? Well, it's not a hard question because the famous Italy brand Marni was doing the collab with H&M. Marni is always famous with the fabulous bold prints and we are lucky to be able to finally own her work without spending a fortune.
I was wearing this outfit out with a dear friend, Cathy. Double date for lunch and girls time at Tip & toe for some manicure. Ok, you might think, "wearing this outfit for lunch and manicure?". Yes, I did wear this for lunch and manicure. In fact, I pretty much dress nice (not necessary up or down) everyday other then when I'm being a lady in the house. Again, fashion has no rules and fashion should be everywhere anytime :)

Marni for H&M - Styling #2 for brocade shirt

Alright, here comes the second styling for this brocade shirt. Quite different from the first look isn't it? The first look was more young and fun, the pairing of transparent tight with knee-high tight bring the look to a great street style. Alright, so maybe some of you don't want to wear super short shorts in public. Here I come up with my second look for this brocade shirt. This look is more sophisticated and still fun. I never know sapphire blue and gold go so well together.
Check out my first look for this brocade shirt if you haven't Brocade style #1

Marni for H&M - Styling #1 for brocade shirt

I was so looking forward for this Marni for h&m collection and was planning to drive hours to the nearest store. Too bad the nearest h&m store does not carry this line and the next store is way too far for me to drive to. I'm so lucky to meet a group of excellent girls who's willing and able to grab me a few items. Originally I was and still looking for a brocade trouser. I'm not lucky enough to find one but am lucky to be able to have this gold and purple brocade shirt. It's a very unique print that you need appreciate it in order to love it. The print remind me of the exotic sarong print. I am originally from Malaysia and trust me, this kind of print is everywhere. Marni did a little modern twist with the print and it became very different and unique. I' not sure about you but I'm in love with this! I really like the cutting of the shirt too. With such a bold print, simple cutting of the shirt is the best way to go. I just received this shirt today and can't wait to style it. Already came up with a few styling idea and I will slowly show each of them to you. As you should know, I want my clothes to be able to wear a lot of times in a lot of different styling and I believe this shirt meets the requirement :)

Floral+Pink+Ankle straps

Have you been paying attention and looking at these wonderful season trends? They are awesome! From bright color to pastel; sporty to modern romance, everything is eye catching and fun. Floral trend tends to blossom this time of year and they are all over the runways.
As for color, I am all over the pastel for this season but I'm still on the stage of searching. Already have a few items that I have my eyes on and gonna hit the "buy" button pretty soon. Will show you what I got when I get it next time. For now, I'm happy with my pink color skinny jean. Blue jean are classic but if you want to bring the category of "jeans" to the next level, then do it with color. Pastel is one of my choice and bright and rich color is right next! By the way, this jean is my own "DIY". It was an old white jean in my closet and I managed to turn it into a new one ;) So, who says we need to spend whole lot of money every season? Go to your closet and with a little of work, you can save some money and turn an old into new.
Now we come to shoes! My friends call me "shoes maniac" and I say I'm proud to be one. LOL!! One of the shoe trend for this season is Ankle Straps. They are sexy, sophisticated, and chic all at the same time. Whether a sharp stiletto or a chunky platform, these shoes can definitely help in leaving a lasting impression. I scored my first straps shoes for this season at Rock & Republic. The black and nude color-block with studs win over my heart from the first sight. Vlad says I'll say yes to anything with studs and spikes, maybe I will, and why not?

The pink jean is not the only DIY here in this outfit. My fierce spikes bracelet is my favorite DIY piece :)

Pink color jean from DIY myself
Ankle straps shoes from Rock & Republic
