Sapphire + Fur

I have been busy with helping a friend selling his car and find out all the problem with the car; I have been sick for almost a week and the antibiotics making me want to lay on the bed 24/7; these are the reason I'm falling behind on posting on my blog. Or I shouldn't blame on anything, I still dress like what I normally dress every day, I'm just lazy to take a picture. Alright, I admit it's all because of my laziness :(
Like I said I have been sick for a while, a fur coat has become my best friend. Weather is still not too cold but Vlad doesn't allow me get out the house without a warm coat. Before I bought this fur coat, I was worried if I can style a lot with this fur coat. Surprisingly, this fur coat actually goes well with a lot of looks! Comfy, warm and easy to style around with, triple win!

Happy Chinese New Year - The year of Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year!! 恭喜发财，红包拿来！！Oh, how I wish I am home in Malaysia in this traditional Chinese holiday. It's been 8 years since I left home and this is definitely the holiday that I miss the most. Chinese New Year also referred to as the "Lunar New Year". Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Chinese calendar. The celebration last for 15 days. 2012 is also the year of Dragon. Same as Christmas, Chinese New Year is the holiday that we celebrate with family.
Traditionally, people wear red in Chinese New Year. Although I don't carry that tradition too well, I still respect that manner when I have to visit to elder houses in Chinese New Year. Black is not prohibited but definitely not welcome when giving a visit to the elders. They believe red bring good luck and black means the darkness. Honestly I don't care of the color part, but a little of red or bright color does bring up the celebration mood, why not?

Let's fight animal cruelty together!!

I have been noticed a household in the same apartment complex where I live might have been doing animal abuse. Vlad was back in Romania for the past month and it was my responsibility to walk my dog - chubby every day. I noticed a puppy was left in the balcony everyday and what brought my attention was that the puppy cries badly sometimes. Don't they know its winter now and it's too cold to left a puppy outside?! Vlad is back from his little vacation and he told me that he saw this puppy crying all the time when he brought chubby out. We went to check just now around 9pm and hoping they let the puppy back in the house but guess what, he is still left in the balcony in this freezing cold night. I am getting real pissed off and I guess things need to be done. We left a message to complex management office and if nothing changes in a couple days, I'm calling animal control agencies!!

Outfit of the day is high waist pant with crop sweater. It's casual, edgy and comfy, exactly what I like to wear for daily basis. Someone told me I look like I'm "not easy to mess with..". Well yes, you are right, don't mess with me, especially when it come to what I love - fashion, family and animal. By the way, this sweater became one of my favorite sweater, I wear it all the time. I love the zipper detail on the sleeve. It keeps me warm and chic at the same time :P

Modern newsboy or fashion newsgirl maybe?

Standing on every street corner and hawking their papers throughout every city while walking through neighborhoods, they were the main distributors of newspaper to the general public in mid-19th to the early 20th century. And that's a little background of newsboy. Well of course I'm not the newspaper distributor but I feel like a little fashion trends shower. I hand you my style through this blog and share with you my love toward fashion. Thanks for reading my beloved reader.

LOVE the chiffon maxi dress

I love the feeling of the chiffon dress flowing in the wind. In some way I feel like I'm flowing too. I finally received my dresses from LOVE and I love them. This is one of the dress I got and it's a black pleated chiffon asymmetrical maxi dress. It looks gorgeous just by itself but since it's windy today, I added a crop sweater over the dress. The sweater gives a different feeling, a more casual look for the dress and I love it!

The warmest winter - lower hem sweater

Not sure if it's global warming or any other reason, but it's the warmest Winter since I moved here. Oh well, no complain because I love it! Snow is great but the beauty of it does not last long before it turns muddy and slippery. I love sweater days, with short, tights and my lovely Jeffrey Campbell Lita; I can run around the town with the sunshine on my face. Alright, I admit I'm happy again because Vlad is back home! What can make you happier than having your love one next to you?

Fur coat

I have been searching around stores and websites for a fur coat and finally I decided on this Zara fur coat. Fur coats are everywhere this winter, yet it's not easy to pull off. Fur coat usually double up the body size and easily look like a bear.. lol!! Oh well, I try not to but if I do then I'm sorry. I still can't resist this coat. When you wear any kind of coat that will make you look bigger, simplified your outfit. You don't need lots of jewelry nor scarf. Simple dresses, skinny pants, shorts are the perfect pair with this kind of coat.
