Holiday office party I

Thanksgiving is just over and Christmas and New Year are around the corner. That also means that we have to get ready for lots of parties. A dear friend gave me this idea and tell me that I should do some outfits for parties. I have so much ideas for holiday party's. Isn't dressing up a fun part of a party? Holidays remind me of light and shining colors. Even for a office party we should still dress appropriately. I believe most office ladies should have some pencil skirt, bandage skirt, or even one of these fabulous power skirts. Use your regular wardrobe , add some colors and accessories, and transform them into a fun and new holiday party outfit. I love this metallic power skirt, it's so sexy and it could work for both indoor and outdoor parties. I pair it with a sheer blouse and rose pink oversized blazer. Since the skirt is so sexy, I button my blouse all up to make the outfit look more sophisticated. Same as for blazers, an oversized works better than a fitted one because again, showing too much curves doesn't mean it's more sexy.

I'm wearing:
Metallic power skirt from BCBG Max Azria
Sheer blouse from Forever 21
Rose pink blazer from romwe.com
Leopard pumps from aldoshoes.com

On the go (latest pant and ring DIY)

What do you wear when you are on the rush? Time is tight and there's not enough time to spend in your closet or in front of the mirror. Unless i'm going to my mailbox, I don't want to wear pajamas in public. (I'm sorry if you guys do, I just can't agree with pajamas in public!) This is my simple go and run outfit for the Fall: jean, sweater and coat. However, this doesn't mean you need to look messy. A nice skinny jean especially a bright color jean can update a whole outfit. This Fall/Winter is all about color. Another trick is a good cut coat. Over-sized sweater and coat need a little more time to make them look right. Therefore, when you're on the rush, grab a fit cut coat, it's easy and it won't make you look sloppy. By the way, the pink jean and the spikes ring are my latest D.I.Y!! The color on the pant turn out great, the ring fits perfect, Cass is happy ;)

I'm wearing:
Coat from Vintage
Pink jean from DIY

Cosy up with oversized sweater

As the air gets crisper, have you noticed that big chunky knit oversized sweaters are everywhere? Well, I do. And I'm also one of the ones who wear them. I love Fall, especially after 3 months of over heated summer, I am looking forward for colder weather. Oversized sweater's versatile chicness makes it one of the popular trends for this Fall. The best heavy knits bring a touch of chic to fall’s look. When styled the right way, an extra-grande knit looks more fabulous than frumpy. Today I'm styling this "super-sized" sweater with a peek-a-boo pair of shorts to get a dash of spunk. If your sweaters are long enough, an oversized sweater also makes the ideal one-piece outfit for fall.

I'm wearing:
Oversized sweater from Express
Snakeskin Lita from Jeffrey Campbell

Jean & Lace

As Fall is here and the weather is getting colder, it's time to shop for sweaters and coats. Before you get to go out and shop, or while waiting for your new buy to be shipped, let's work on what you got in your closet. In fact, you can still work on your summer wardrobe in Fall/Winter. There's no rule saying that you cannot wear your summer clothes in chiller weather, right? Just make sure you do a good job mixing, and making sure you are warm enough to walk out in the cold. This is the second time I wear this long lace skirt that I bought in the summer. I try the lace with jean this time and surprisingly they work great together.

A Kiss, the gift of Love

A strong and deep kiss can show so much more love than 100 vocal I love you. I mean, who doesn't kisses? Well I do know some people who don't like kisses that much or maybe they are shy, but getting kisses everyday from your loved one is the best gift you can get daily. Just like my outfit today, kisses are sweet but sometimes they have to be little more rough to rock your heart!

Shine & Sparkle

Holiday season is around the corner but that's not the only reason for this glossy and sparkle trend. However, it's time to replace your little black dress with some sparkle dress for evening events or parties. For this season, sparkles are not only in metallic color but the whole color spectrum! It's definitely a more fun and exciting shiny trend. Feel free to mix and match your sparkly options with your everyday separates. You can mix a glittery top with skinny jeans and blazer, or just like my look today, sparkle pant with button down blouse and blazer. The trick is do not let the sparkle be all over you. Choose either a top, blazer, or pant. If you choose sparkle accessories, then you can have a couple of them on you. Remember, do not over load with sparkle cause it can easily look cheap.

I'm wearing:
Sequin pant from Express
White blazer from H&M
Leopard heels from Aldo
Ginger button-down shirt from Forever 21
Spikes necklace from Forever 21

Bring me back to 1960s

1960s was a decade that broke many fashion tradition. It had a number of diverse trends. However, it's also the decade that came up with a lot of fun and amazing trends like PVC dresses, psychedelic prints, highlight colors, mismatched patterns, paisley prints and more. The 60s fashion was also in the transition between the 50s ladylike looks and 70s free-spirited glamor. As much as I love colors and crazy prints, I'm going for a ladylike look. Full skirts were the trends at the beginning of 60s, the transition from 50s. I love the full skirt which makes me feel the instant ladylike look.

I'm wearing:
Lace top from bebe

I'm in Red, be aware!!

When I was younger I used to have this love hate feeling towards red. Love because red is so pretty and exciting; hate, or should I say scared because red is usually indicated towards more mature women, wild and sexy. Different from teenager in our days, I didn't want to be called sexy or wild when I was a teenager. Pretty and cute would made a good compliment. However, I am a grown woman and I am crazy about red. I'm seeing red as sexy, wild and fierce now, and I love it!
